An editorial for gun enthusiasts — nothing else, on purpose.
GunNomad is an editorial and exploration site about American gun culture, told through the guns themselves: the premium smiths who build by hand, the new releases emptying out of shop cases, the rifle the country actually owns, the discipline of distance, the iron that built the West, and the pistols that leave the house every morning.
Our look comes from two places we love — the Texas plains and the Arizona desert: their light, their colors, their steel and leather and dust. They are our design language, the backdrop every GunNomad photograph is shot against. The subject, always, is the gun.
The editorial standard
Plainly stated: GunNomad is editorial only. We are not a store — nothing on this site is for sale. We publish no rankings and no scores. And there are no paid placements: no maker can buy coverage, a dossier, or a kinder sentence, at any price. When we describe a trend — a waitlist, an empty slot in a case — it is an observation from the counter, never an invented statistic.
We would rather be honest than first, and thorough than loud. If a gun disappoints us, the sentence says so. If a maker earns praise here, they earned it the only way it can be earned: in metal, on the range, over time.
What we cover
The Premium Smiths dossiers, the Hot Shelf watch, America's Rifle, Long Range, Heritage Iron, Carry Culture, On the Range and After Dark — plus the Gun Journal, our long-form notebook, and the Sunday Dispatch in your inbox each week. Wander the sections. The guns are the territory.
